Days of Our Lives PBP for Sept 2, 2010
This is my impression of what I'm seeing, not a transcript.
--
Close up of EJ's hand on top of a gun. He's passed out on Sami's bed at the mansion in his suit. There are wedding gifts around him. Sami runs into the room yelling, “EJ where are you? Wake up! Get up!” She's really pissed. “I'm not letting you take my children from me. It is not happening, EJ. Get up!”
EJ isn't responding at all.
Sami sees the gun on the bed under his hand. She looks weird, hard to read what she's thinking, and turns to leave. She has a flash backs:
Kate's Voice only: "I just heard EJ tell Stefano that he's going take the children and leave here tomorrow."
EJ video when he called her and voice: "The ransom note was a hoax. Our baby is dead"
EJ video from foyer and voice: "I love you!"
The three voices play over again in her mind kind of on top of each other., echoing over eerie music.
Sami walks to EJ. (He's still breathing BTW, and is the best looking passed out drunken slob I've ever seen. Seriously, he looks good, not already dead. There is no blood.) She looks down at him for a few moments. She takes the gun from under his hand, holds it in both hands and looks at it for a few seconds. Looks at EJ again, aims and shoots.

Nicole's at Danloe's apartment. She's out of booze and huffing. Daniel comes in and Nicole complains about the selection of alcoholic beverages. Daniel isn't sympathetic. Nicole complains, “EJ knows I ratted him out and wants me dead.” Daniel has no sympathy for her and tells her to keep a low profile.

Kate and Stefano are at the pub. Kate wants to talk, but Stefano wants to go board their yacht. Kate doesn't want to hide on a boat. Kate's afraid since Sami won't let Stefano and EJ see Johnny and Sydney, she will also come between Kate and Will. (I guess nobody cares if they ever see Allie again.) Kate tells Stefano she knows he's not about to just let Sami take the kids, so what is his plan? Stefano says, “I can not go near the children and neither can Elvis.” Kate doesn't believe him, because it never stopped him before. Stefano insists there is no plan.
Kate flashes back: She's in the foyer at the mansion eavesdropping on EJ and Stefano. EJ looks like he's been drinking, and says. “I'm going to do something I should have done a long time ago. I'm going to take my children and get out of here.”
Kate is back in real time. She says she thinks Stefano is trying to get her on the boat to maybe get her out of the way because of some plan he and EJ have to take the kids. Stefano says that's not true.

Sami is standing over EJ with the gun still aimed at him, he's convulsing. (Sami's expression is really hard to read and I'm sure people will see exactly what they want to see. I expect to read everything from Sami hates EJ, to she just wants to protect her kids, to she snapped, to she loves EJ. To me, she just looks conflicted. Like she doesn't have a clue how she feels.)

Hourglass and Credits

Daniel and Nicole argue, he lectures her. Nikki opens the front door and yells, “George! George,” and a dumpy middle aged guy enters. (He's a plain cloths FBI guy, I guess.) Nicole wants to know what George is doing about EJ. George says they're considering charges against EJ. Nikki gets pissed, she says to get Rafe on the phone. George refuses, Nicole insists. They are at an impasse.

Vivian and Gus are in a the Kirakis mausoleum. Vivian talks about wanting to put Maggie in the sarcophagus they are standing next to. (Gus is cute, and Vivian is a fucking loon.)

Vic and Maggie are on the Sofa at the Kirakis mansion. They talk about Brady's drinking, and addicts in general. They're both worried about Brady. They talk about funeral and memorial stuff for Isabella lying on the coffee able. (It's an odd conversation since we have no context) Maggie asks if Vivian doing the new memorial for Isabella is working, is it scoring points with Victor? He says, "Something that does work is someone who knows my grandson and has his back. (Vic's chatting up Maggie as usual.)

EJ's hand is all we see lying partially on top of the family drawing Johnny made. His hand is twitching, then stops. He is still as Sami stands over him. He has blood running from the right side of his head, over and around his ear and down his neck. Sami's standing there looking at him and raises her eyebrows. (I'm not sure what that means, but she looks like maybe she's starting to get nervous now.)

Brady's drunk at the Pub, and talking to Chloe. She tells Brady Nicole is staying at her place. Brady says Nicole is always scared of something. Always causing problems and he has to stay away from her, so she (Nicole) is on her own.

FBI George tells Nicole that if EJ DiMera wanted her dead tonight, she'd be dead. She freaks and tells him EJ already tried to strangle her but Daniel stopped him. She says EJ will kill her and, "Am I supposed to sit around and wait for that to happen because you're afraid to wake up Rafe Hernandez and tell him that he blew it?" (Not sure why she assumes Rafe is alseep since everyone else is either still awake, or bleeding from the head.)
George says, "Wait a minute and moves toward her." Daniel tells Nicole to calm down because he's inside, George is outside and Rafe will be there tomorrow.
--
Kate and Stefano are still at the pub. He asks if she still thinks he's not being honest with her. Kate says she knows his children and grandchildren come before anyone else, and she feels the same way. Stefano says he told her what Elvis did. Kate says only after Rafe found out. Stefano tries to put her at ease, saying he's there with her not Elvis. He says, "You think I want him to run away with the grandchildren. Kate says, "It would be a very good win over Sami Brady." Stefano says, "Sami Brady is out of his life and I could not be happier. So he (EJ) is not going to do anything with the children." (It's always worrysome when Stefano is the voice of reason in the episode.)

Rafe is in bed shirtless, rolling over in bed and hugging a pillow.
--
EJ is on the bed bleeding out of his head while Sami still stands over him staring at him. Sami turns, staggers slightly, and looks in a full length mirror. She sees herself in the mirror, and a reflection of EJ dying on the bed behind her. She looks down at the gun in her hand, breaths “Oh, god,” and runs from the room.

Viv and Gus discuss their plan which includes Maggie going on vacation, a handwriting expert, Maggie's stationary to send a message to Victor. Gus asks what will happen when Maggie doesn't arrive at her vacation destination. Vivian says she will arrive, eventually, when she's done with her.
--
Victor and Maggie talk about Micky. She says she was cleaning out a drawer and found brochures for a trip they'd planned to take. She plans to take this trip alone now. Victor thinks that's “lovely,” but he doesn't want her to go.
--
Brady drinks, and tells Chloe Nicole hasn't changed. Chloe defends Nicole. Brady says Chloe should cut Nicole lose and don't let her screw up her life. He says "Take it from me that's all she knows how to do."
--
Nicole is looking at a book, and has a flashback of her and Sydney, and EJ with the book, “Mother Goose.” Nicole wipes her eyes. Daniel sits down next to her, but doesn't say anything. Nicole tells him how she used to read the book to Sydney because she thought it would make Sydney smart. Daniel looks affected by Nicole's crying, but still never says anything.

Sami's at the nice pier where EJ proposed. (Sami still has that weird conflicted look on her face that everyone will interpret they way they want to. However, there is no doubt she's not happy about having shot EJ.) She flashes back to EJ saying, “I love you. I've always loved you. I want to spend the rest of my life loving you and our children, and being a family in the proper sense of the word. Marry me.”

Nicole smiles finally, and goes on and on about Sydney. She's crying and tells Daniel what it felt like to have a miscarriage. (Daniel looks sorry for her, but uncomfortable.) Nicole says she's a survivor, like a cat with nine lives, and one of these days she will land on her feet again. Dan reaches over and touches her thigh, she puts her hand on top of his. (It's not sexy, just friendly)

Kate wants to know how Stefano can be certain EJ won't do anything tonight. Stefano says because EJ is dead drunk, the children are upstairs at the pub, and Sami is with Rafe. “No one is going to do anything hasty tonight.” (Stefano sounds really sincere and like the voice of reason, but little does he know . . .)

Rafe is still rolling around in bed alone, and says, “Sami.”
--
Sami is standing about where EJ was when he threw the bloody clothes and facing the same way. (It looks like the same blocking and camera angle.) She's breathing fast and looking at the gun. Her expression is still weird. Then suddenly she looks determined and throws the gun in the water. She huffs and runs her hand though her hair, turns and runs away.
--
Vivian dictates Maggie's goodbye letter to Victor. (it's over the top, of course). Gus asks if Viv is sure Mr Kirakis will believe those words because Maggie is a plain speaking woman. Vivian starts over.
--
Maggie promises Victor to make sure Brady is in good hands while she's gone. Vic is trying to talk her out of leaving, but his phone rings. He answers and says, “What? You know that for a fact? No, I'll take care of it.” He hangs up, excuses himself and leaves.
--
Chloe arrives at the apartment and asks why there are like nine guys with headsets outside. Nicole explains to Chloe how she overheard EJ talking to Stefano about the Sydnap, and now he's after her. (She leaves out the part of the story about how she was blackmailing EJ and took his money.) Chloe asks if Sami knows. Nicole says yeah she does, and EJ knows that Sami knows. She tells Chloe not to worry and go to bed. Daniel and Chloe are going to bed. He tells Nicole not to do anything stupid. (lol) Nicole dials her cell phone.
--
EJ is still on the bed and still bleeding. (They keep starting his scenes with a close up of Johnny's family picture on the bed near his hand, then panning out.)
--
Sami slides into bed next to Rafe. The second she's settled, Rafe's cell phone rings. Sami is looking away from him and not saying anything. (Her eyes are huge and creepy. Sami looks scared and unhappy to me.) Rafe grabs his phone.
--
Kate and Stefano are outside the pub. He tells her not to worry. “I will handle Elvis, and our grandchildren will be fine. Trust me.”
Kate flashes back: She's on the phone, but we don't see she's talking to. (I got the strong impression it's Sami because of Sami's flash back from the begining of the show.) “Listen, right now I think he's to drunk to do anything tonight, but you'd better think about something to do because he's very, very serious.”
Stefano looks and Kate suspiciously, and asks her what she's not telling him.

Rafe answers his phone. It's snarky, bitter Nicole on the other end. She tells Rafe that EJ tried to kill her and the “genius” he hired to protect her, so their deal is not cutting it anymore. Rafe tells her he can't talk right now, he'll call her back and hangs up on Nicole. Sami is lying next to him the whole time staring off into space looking tense and unhappy. Rafe rolls over and tells her she is “White as a ghost.” She's not paying much attention to him and stares into space.
--
In a shocking turn of events, EJ is bleeding from his head.
--
Vivian dictates a goodbye letter from Maggie to Melanie. Brady walks in on her. “Hi, what the hell you doing here?” Vivian looks nervous.

Kate, Stefano and Victor are at the nice pier. Vic insults Kate, “Hello, Kate. Poison anyone lately?” Stefano asks what Vic wants. Vic says he's had a shipment delayed in customs for 15 weeks and tonight he found out it was because of Stefano. Stefano insists it was only a slight delay because he had a cargo that took precedence. Kate asks if Victor will retaliate.
Victor flashes back to his conversation with Rafe on the beach. “So inside Nicole is a broken little girl” Yada, yada.
Victor flashes to the present. “I believe I already have.” Stefano and Kate look concerned about that comment.

Rafe asks Sami what's wrong. She finally looks at him, and says she had a nightmare. (BTW Sami is obviously lying and does not think what she just did was a nightmare.) Rafe says it's understandable after the day she's had. His phone rings, and he answers. Nicole says he has a lot of nerve hanging up on her. She says she wants EJ put in jail. (Rafe really looks disinterested.) He says they can talk about it in the morning. Nicole says she might not be there in the morning if EJ is walking around free. He tells her not to worry. (He really looks like he doesn't give a shit.) Nicole has a little fit and hangs up on him. Rafe sighs and puts the phone on the nightstand. Sami asks what Nicole wanted. Rafe tells Sami EJ went after Nicole. Sami looks confused at hearing that news. Rafe tells her not to worry, and pulls her into his arms. She lays on his chest and worries.

Vivian tells Brady how she got Isabella the sarcophagus. He says she's the strangest person he's ever met. (lol) Brady doesn't like the idea. “I want you to get this freaking thing out of here an leave my mom alone.” (He looks really dark and a bit scary. But then so does almost everyone in this episode. The mood, lighting and everything else is like a fricking Halloween epsiode.)

Stefano asks what Victor has done. Vic doesn't answer but says he heard about the “Wedding interruptus,” and can't believe Stefano left EJ alone and crying in his champagne. He asks what has Kate done to Stefano, he used to be a loving father. He tells Stefano that he violated their agreement and he better get back in line. Stefano says, “Or what.” Victor says, “You don't want to know.” Maggie walks up behind Victor and says, “He may not, but I do.”

Nicole is pacing, freaking out and throwing something across the room. “Dammit!” Chloe and Danial show up and she apologies. She explains she was talking to Rafe and he doesn't care if EJ kills her. Chloe assures Nicole she and Daniel won't let anything happen to her. She looks and Daniel and says, “right?” Daniel doesn't look very convincing that he would stop EJ from killing Nicole again, but says, “Right.” Nicole whines, and whines that EJ has lost Sami and Sydney and now he'll just concentrate on getting even with her, and she lost Brady, and probably her job. Nicole says all she has left is her life, but nothing worth living for.

Sami looks desperate and creepy, and says to Rafe. “I love you. I love you so much,” and quickly kisses him – fade to EJ bleeding.
